Who can enter the system — and under what terms.

STRUCTURAL
DOMINANCE
Governing the Chaos of Power, Decisions and Futures
What if the most powerful force shaping the future is not intelligence, capital, technology or authority — but structure?
The premise
We think people control systems.
More often, systems control the possibilities available to people.
01 — Beneath the visible
EVENTS ARE THE SURFACE.
STRUCTURE IS THE ENGINE.
Wars. Markets. Organizations. Governments. Technology. Crises. Decisions.
We are trained to explain outcomes through visible actors and visible events. But every action occurs inside a deeper architecture of dependencies, incentives, constraints, resources, narratives, tensions and possibilities.
That architecture does not merely influence what happens. It shapes what is affordable, rational, reachable, legitimate — and increasingly unavoidable.
Change the player and the same pattern may return. Change the structure and the trajectory itself can change.
The counterintuitive idea
THE PLAYER DOES NOT CONTROL THE GAME
IF THE BOARD CONTROLS THE PLAYER.
02 — Power
POWER IS NOT MERELY THE ABILITY TO ACT.
It is the ability to shape the conditions under which others act.
What others cannot operate without.
The rules through which participation occurs.
The substrate on which other actors depend.
What becomes legitimate, desirable or unacceptable.
Which futures remain available — and to whom.
Visible power
CONTROL THE ACTION.
Structural power
CONTROL THE OPTIONS.
03 — Decisions
EVERY DECISION REWRITES THE NEXT DECISION.
A decision is not an isolated moment of choice. It inherits a history, changes incentives, alters dependencies, closes some futures and opens others.
The strategic question is not only: “Was this a good decision?” It is: “What did this decision do to the structure of future decisions?”
04 — Futures
THE FUTURE IS NOT A POINT WAITING TO BE PREDICTED.
It is a changing landscape of possibilities. Some futures remain possible. Some become probable. Some grow dominant. Others become unreachable.
The task is to understand how a system is progressively constraining itself toward particular outcomes — and to intervene before possibility becomes inevitability.
The structural question
Before asking:
WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
Ask:
WHAT IS BECOMING HARDER NOT TO HAPPEN?
05 — A different layer of analysis
FROM EVENTS TO STRUCTURE.
EVENTS
What we see
Actions, crises, conflicts, decisions, failures and outcomes.
DYNAMICS
What propagates
Feedback, escalation, competition, adaptation, contagion and accumulation.
STRUCTURE
What governs the dynamics
Dependencies, constraints, incentives, resources, legitimacy, power, information and causality.
Inside the book
TEN QUESTIONS THAT CHANGE THE WAY YOU SEE POWER.
Not another book about prediction
PREDICTION ASKS WHAT COMES NEXT.
STRUCTURAL DOMINANCE ASKS WHAT MAKES “NEXT” POSSIBLE.
The goal is not omniscience. It is structural advantage: the ability to identify constraints before they become walls, dependencies before they become traps, tensions before they become ruptures, and leverage points before they disappear.

Earlier work
LUCRATIVE PROBLEMS
Turning real-world pain into scalable, recurring income.
Before Structural Dominance, Regy Andrade developed Lucrative Problems: a first-principles framework for deciding which problems are worth solving before committing time, capital and execution.
The framework evaluates problems through three core variables — Findability, Volume and Recurrence — and extends that logic into a broader system for building scalable, multidimensional revenue.
The intellectual progression
Lucrative Problems asks: Which problems are worth solving?
Structural Dominance goes deeper: What structures determine which outcomes become possible in the first place?
The core idea
DO NOT FIGHT ONLY FOR THE OUTCOME.
SHAPE THE STRUCTURE THAT PRODUCES THE OUTCOME.
Structural Dominance
WE CANNOT GOVERN WHAT WE CANNOT SEE.
We learned to measure events. Then to analyze data. Then to predict behavior. The next frontier is deeper: to understand the structures producing the futures we are trying to predict — and ultimately, to govern them.
